The upcoming four years will bring several very significant sport events for karate practitioners not only in Poland but also throughout the world. World Games 2017 in Wroclaw and, which we strongly believe, the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020 are just some of them. I am also looking forward to the upcoming World Championships which will take place in Linz in October this year. Me and my coach are convinced that in my preparations for this important event the Polish Open cannot be missed. The competition taking place in Bielsko-Biala attract more and more very good athletes because is one of the best karate event organized in Poland. From my observation Polish Open continues to grow every year and its organizational momentum equals sporting events organized throughout Europe. For me as an athlete it is important to have a competition so close to my home without need to travel thousand kilometers. Polish Open is an event that gives me possibility to compete with many top athletes around the Europe. It fills me with pride and optimism because I know that the development of WKF in my country is heading in the right direction. Tournament in Poland is definitely a very strong and last test before the World Championships in Linz where I hope I can have a few good fights and strengthen my form.
See you in Poland!
