Historical event in the capital of Podbeskidzie !
Just two weeks left to the most prestigious tournament in Poland – POLISH OPEN. The record number of competitors in the history of Poland, representing 31 countries from Asia, Africa, South America and Europe will fight on 8 tatamis. We will host the athletes and coaches from e.g.: Japan, France, England, Scotland, Denmark, Croatia, Italy, Malta, Ukraine, Belarus and Dominican Republic. So far the biggest tournament according to rules of WKF took place in Poland in 2012 in Lodz – Harasuto Cup (over 1500 entries, 17 countries). POLISH OPEN is currently the second event in Europe, after the Italian VENICE CUP, not included in the prestigious cycle Karate 1 Premier League.
Besides top players, medalists of the World and European Championships, in Bielsko-Biała we will host the best referees headed by the Secretary of the Referee Commission WKF – Javier Escalante, Chairman of the European Referee Commission EKF – Primoz Debenak and a member of the Referee Commission WKF Robert Hamara, who once again will be the Chief Referee of POLISH OPEN.
The competition will be held under the patronage of the President of Bielsko-Biala Jack Krywult, the Honorary Patronage of the Minister of Sport and Tourism Witold Bańka and the President of the Polish Olympic Committee Andrzej Kraśnicki. The media patron of the event is Radio Bielsko that during the competition will live broadcast from the “Hala pod Dębowcem.” Just like last year, the competition will be broadcast live on the Internet.
Due to the reached limit of entries, registration for competitions has been closed today. We encourage everyone to follow information appearing on our website as well as on the official fanpage.
We invite you to Bielsko-Biala!
